薩摩焼
さつまやき【薩摩焼】
薩摩で産する陶磁器の総称。 文禄の役の際, 島津義弘が朝鮮から伴った陶工に焼かせたのに始まる。 初期は, 白釉(ハクユウ)・黒釉を施した朝鮮風のものや, 宋胡録写(スンコロクウツシ)を特色としたが, のち錦手(ニシキデ)や金襴手が盛んとなり, 現在では一般にこれを薩摩焼と呼んでいる。
